Abby Echiverri is a composer, sound engineer, and audio assembly tech based in Brooklyn, NY. She curates a synthesizer festival called Control Voltage Fair as well as releasing music with Dream Affair.

Abby Echiverri will lead this workshop and teach us how easy it is to pick up a new instrument and make music with strangers. Similar to an open mic, participants are invited to show off their synthusiasm or experiment with a synth. Synth Workout begins with an explanation of what’s going on inside a synth, from oscillator to filter. We’ll then go over how to read a synth and play it. To finish, participants will delve into an improvisational jam session. Bring your own synth or share with your peers; no experience necessary.
